What we do

Overview

We are supporting Saudi Aramco's investments in Malaysia and exploring new business opportunities in Southeast Asia's vibrant energy market.

Aramco Malaysia joins other Aramco Asian subsidiaries in Japan, Korea, Singapore and China.

Our Asian subsidiaries are key players in the region's thriving energy market and together, they act as a key crude oil supplier to India, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. Under an aligned regional strategy, our offices in Asia provide marketing and portfolio management services and other business support to us and our partners.

At Aramco Malaysia, we are exploring and pursuing new opportunities to support Saudi Aramco's ambitious strategy of becoming the world's leading oil and gas downstream business by 2030.

We are playing a pivotal role in expanding Saudi Aramco's international investments, with a downstream focus on refining, chemicals and retail fuel businesses – in Malaysia as well as across Southeast Asia.

Our team of energy specialists in Malaysia offers a range of expert services, including:

  • Portfolio management of our investment activities.
PRefChem (Pengerang Refining and Petrochemical) is a major joint venture investment programme between Aramco Malaysia and PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia.
This equal partnership, comprising a refinery complex and a petrochemical complex in the Malaysian state of Johor, will produce refined petroleum products for consumers and petrochemical products.
  • Development of strategic partnerships that deliver business growth.
As a key link to Saudi Aramco's global operations, we are interested in building valuable relationships with energy suppliers, business partners and investors within the Southeast Asian region.
We are looking for partnership opportunities that can provide us with materials, new technologies, infrastructures and services to support Saudi Aramco's extensive downstream business needs.
